Product Development
We spend a lot of our time researching into the benefits of vegetable oils, essential oils and plant ingredients, as well as the symptoms and effects of different skin conditions.
Before producing a product we look into what goal we want to achieve with that product and if it impacts on any specific skin conditions and then we investigate what oils and ingredients are most suitable for achieving our product goal.

Raw Materials
We ensure all the raw materials we use are as environmentally friendly as possible and as natural as possible and include as many organic ingredients as we can, making it possible to bring you some of the most natural skin care around, at a price that is affordable to all.
We do not use any harmful or harsh ingredients and we choose the most appropriate materials for the product, irrespective of price. We never use any artificial fragrances, colours or preservatives.

While we would like to use all organic materials this is not always possible. Certain ingredients such as water can not be classed as organic due to the certification procedure involved in classifying an ingredient. Other ingredients are not yet available as organic, but as soon as they are we will replace the non-organic ingredient currently being used with the new organic version. Also it is very important to us that we follow our ethics on sustainable products and so we will choose the best ingredient we can based on all factors and not necessarily just because it is organic.

Fragrance
Only pure, natural essential oils are used to fragrance Jinsei Skincare products, we never use artificial fragrances. The essential oils in each product have been specifically chosen, and a synergistic blend created, to provide the best effect for its purpose, as apposed to choosing oils to make it smell a certain way.

Shelf Life
All of our products, excluding the Dry / Mature Facial Cleanser and the Lip Balms, contain a natural preservative, which under the correct storage conditions enables the product to keep well for between 2 to 3 years. The natural ingredients in the Dry / Mature Facial cleanser and the Lip Balms also enable the products to keep well under the correct storage conditions for up to 3 years. However we suggest a best before date of six months from the date of creation for all of our products to ensure you get the best from the natural ingredients used.

For optimum storage all the products, except for the Toning Gel and Sensitive Facial Cleanser, should be stored in the refrigerator with the lids properly sealed and should not be exposed to direct heat and sunlight. For the best storage of the gel based products, they should be stored at room temperature and should not be exposed to direct heat or sunlight.

Declaration
We believe that you, our customers, have a fundamental right to know exactly what is contained in the products you are buying and therefore we provide full ingredient disclosure on all of our products including their common names along with the legally required INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) names. We have also provided in-depth details of each of our ingredients in the ingredients section.

Having provided details of the good ingredients in our products, we also felt it our duty to tell you about some of the more common ingredients to avoid in everyday skin care products and why, in our section on ingredients to avoid, giving you a better insight into what you are putting on your skin and ultimately into your body.

Product Testing
All our products are independently tested according to the pharmaceutical industry quality standards.

We assure you that none of our products or the ingredients used in them have been tested on animals. We only use suppliers who provide declarations proving their materials are free from animal testing and animal cruelty. We also obtain safety data sheets from our suppliers for the ingredients purchased.

All of our products are thoroughly tested first by us, then by our highly usefully judgemental family and friends, and then finally by volunteer members of the public. Only after all these tests and any improvements needed are made, do we release a product for sale.

Future Development
We are committed to producing and developing products that you, our customers, require from us and our aim is to continue to expand our range of organic products with your help and feedback. Packaging
We wanted to find the best packaging for our product whilst having the least impact on the environment and as such decided we did not want to be one of these companies who use excessive packaging.

We chose glass bottles and jars for our products for several reasons, including the long term effect on the environment being much less than in the use of plastics, and also to keep the products at their best.

All of our products include oils and all oils, in particular essential oils, can leach chemicals out of the plastic container they are in, affecting the chemical make-up of the oil or product. Essential oils are also affected by UV light, again affecting their chemical make-up, and so need to be stored in dark glass bottles out of direct sunlight.

We didn’t like the idea of using polystyrene protectors in our packaging due to their impact on the environment. Instead we use recycled junk mail and magazines to keep our products safe on their way to you. This also means the protective filing can be recycled again when it reaches you.
