1. Can I use your skin care products during pregnancy?
There are differing opinions as to the safety of using essential oils during pregnancy. We personally believe as long as abortificant oils are avoided (we never use these oils), most oils can be incorporated safely into skincare regimes during pregnancy.
All our products are made with essential oil concentrations of 2% or less, making them a safe dilution level for use in pregnancy. If you are unsure of using a product in pregnancy because of the essential oils it contains, please contact us and we will provide you with all the information we can regarding that oil, to enable you to make an informed decision.
We do offer a
custom made product service where we can tailor our products to your specific needs, including for use during and after pregnancy.
2. Why aren’t you certified organic?
We have used organic ingredients where ever possible, which are purchased from companies who have achieved organic certification, however we choose to use the best ingredients for the product and its purpose whether this is organic or not, as we believe it is more important to have the best ingredients than being able to claim our products our 100% organic. If we are able to find the ingredient we want to use as certified organic then we will always use the organic version.
Eventually we will be looking to have our products certified as organic to give greater peace of mind to our customers, however this is a timely and costly process which we feel isn’t as important as perfecting our products for you.

3. What do you mean by natural ingredients?
All our products are plant based and contain no synthesised or harmful chemicals.
We source our products from companies who can trace their raw materials from the beginning of their life to the final end stage product.
All our ingredients and products are free from animal testing.

4. What is your environmental policy?
We are dedicated to making the best products we can whilst having a minimum impact on the environment.
We have chosen packaging that will have the least long term effect on the environment and use recycled materials wherever possible.

5. Are your products suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
As the ingredients we use are plant based all of our products are suitable for vegetarians and all except for our lip balms, which contain beeswax, are suitable for vegans.
6. What is the shelf life of your products?
With proper storage conditions all of our products should keep well for around 2 to 3 years, however we recommend a best before date of 6 months from the date of creation for all products to obtain the best results from the natural ingredients used.

7. Why is there oil on the surface of my cream?
Occasionally variations in temperature can lead the essential oils to rise to the top of the cream. If this occurs just stir the product well with a clean stirring implement and the oils will disperse back into the cream.
8. Why are there variations between the products I have purchased?
You may notice slight variations between different batches of the same product; this can occur as all our products are handmade from scratch and all the ingredients used are natural and so are open to natural variations. The product will still have the same effect and benefits but may appear slightly different or have a slightly different consistency or aroma.
9. Why do the products I purchased appear to be of different quantities?
We fill all our bottles and jars by hand and so there may be slight variations in quantities, we do however ensure we fill them all to the correct quantity as a minimum, any variation will mean there is slightly more than there should be in the container.
10. Why does my lip balm have a hole in the middle?
All our lip balms are filled by hand and so you may notice they are uneven in some cases or may have a hole in the middle. This hole is caused by the natural cooling process and we over fill all our lip balms to ensure no product is lost due to this natural occurrence.
